Lord and Taylor Returns & Exchanges

We will gladly exchange or credit your timely return of unworn, unlaundered merchandise when it is presented in saleable condition with the original vendor packaging and tags. We cannot exchange or credit gourmet, altered, customized or personalized items. Used merchandise cannot be returned unless defective. Please note that we cannot accept returns at our outlet or clearance center locations.

Dresses & Eveningwear

Returns or exchanges on all dresses will only be accepted within 60 days from the date of purchase. Dresses over $100 will be sold with an additional “seal tag” attached. Once that tag is removed, the item cannot be returned.

Fine Jewelry & Watches

Returns or exchanges of Fine Jewelry or Watches will only be accepted within 30 days from the date of purchase. All original tags must be attached. Fine Jewelry Trunk Show Merchandise exchanges or returns must be made at the store of purchase, and are subject to the specific trunk show’s return policy.

Home

Returns or exchanges of Home merchandise will only be accepted within 60 days from the date of purchase.

Purchases Made At A Lord & Taylor Store

Please save your receipt. If you wish to exchange or return a purchase, your receipt will make it faster to receive credit. In most instances, we can verify purchases made on a store account or third-party charge account with our receipt lookup system.

Purchases Made By Check

A store credit will be issued if a return is within 10 days of original purchase date. Please note: If a personal check was tendered a store credit will be issued if the return is made within 10 business days from the original purchase date; if the return is made after 10 business days, a cash refund can be issued.

Purchases Made Using PayPal

For items being returned via post, your PayPal account will be credited for the return amount. If a price adjustment is made, the adjusted amount will be applied to a Lord & Taylor gift card. There are no fees for using PayPal.

Please Note: If PayPal was used and the item is being returned to one of our stores, we will be required to process the refund as cash. Our stores’ POS system does not accept PayPal.

Gift Receipt Returns

Returns with a gift receipt will receive a merchandise credit.

Returns Without A Receipt

Returns are issued at the lowest selling price as a credit to your Lord & Taylor account or as a store credit. We reserve the right to refuse any return. Merchandise returned after 90 days from the date of sale with or without a receipt will be credited at the lowest selling price as a credit to your Lord & Taylor account or as a store credit. For cash purchases with receipts, a cash refund will be issued within 90 days of the date of purchase. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable unless it is an exchange or return due to damage or our error.

Price Adjustments

Price adjustments will be made on merchandise permanently marked down within 7 days of the original date of purchase. No price adjustments will be made for temporary price reductions. If you are not completely satisfied with your lordandtaylor.com purchase, you may return it with your receipt to any Lord & Taylor store or by mail. Please see our return policy. Specific merchandise return policies may also apply. We reserve the right to refuse any return. ID may be required.

To return merchandise from a Lord & Taylor store, using a documented shipping carrier, please mail to:

Return Policy For Fifth Avenue NYC, Oakbrook And Monmouth Locations

Any items purchased before 10/3 at these locations will follow our existing 90-day return policy. Any items purchased at this location during our store closing sale (starting 10/4) are final sale. Additionally, starting 10/4, we will not be accepting online returns at this location.

You may return any items purchased at lordandtaylor.com at Lord & Taylor stores. Please note that we cannot accept returns at our outlet or clearance center locations. See “Purchases Made At A Lord & Taylor Store” above for details. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable.

Returns Via Mail

A refund for merchandise returned within 90 days from the date of sale will be issued in the original form of payment. If you are returning a gift or if a gift card was used as a method of payment, you will be issued a gift card. Returns after 90 days from placing an order will be credited at the lowest selling price as a credit to your Lord & Taylor account or as a gift card. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable.

For the 2018 holiday season, merchandise purchased October 1st, 2018 or later can be returned for a full refund or credit of the original price paid through January 15th, 2019 as long as the merchandise qualifies for a return, per our established return policy.

By Mail:

1. Get your invoice ready

start your return using the order number or go to your lordandtaylor.com account order history and click the link there. You can find your order number in the top right corner of your packing slip or in the subject line of your shipping confirmation email.

2. Prepare your package

Pack your return securely, in the original package if possible, and include your printed invoice.

Affix your shipping label to the package, making sure no other tracking labels are showing.

3. Ship it

When your package is ready, you can ship it via FedEx or the U.S. Postal Service

• For FedEx, drop it off at your nearest FedEx location.
• For the U.S. Postal Service, give it to your mail carrier or drop it off at your nearest post office.

4. Track it

To track your return, click on the “Track Your Return” button in the return confirmation email you received from [email protected] Once we receive the package, we’ll process your refund and notify you that the return has been completed. Refunds in the form of original payment can take up to one week to be credited back to your account
